About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Junior Analyst who can assist in a lab environment for our customer in Dahlgren, VA. Essential Responsibilities: This individual will be supporting more senior analysts and optical engineers in test report documentation and management, including planning and scheduling lab events and maintaining technical reports and data files. They will assist in the development, testing, and evaluation of new technologies, assist in the development of new specifications and standard requirements for existing and emerging components, and evaluate components, test equipment, and tools for inclusion on recommended Navy parts lists. Experience in the operations and safety procedures of a fiber optics lab, including fiber splicing, is a plus but not required. The individual will need to maintain accurate records by managing the test report database, equipment logs, and other reports. They will need to be able to look for and correct errors in data. They should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, and SharePoint and be able to plan and organize multiple projects at once. Requirements: Support senior analysts and optical engineers in test report documentation and management, including planning and scheduling lab events and maintaining technical reports and data files. Requirements

  • Two (2) years experience in an engineering/science discipline; OR Two (2) years experience in program analysis in one or more of the following: acquisition, analysis, planning, integrated logistics support or program cost analysis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Clearance.
  • Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Clearance

Nice To Haves
