About The Position

Bestica is seeking a Junior Statistical Analyst to provide services at the United States School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH. This is a remote position. The analyst will support the USAFSAM Department of Aerospace Medicine, specifically the Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Division, Operational Support Team (FESO). The FESO branch supports field-based Operational Support Teams, oversees program development, conducts data analysis, and provides education, training, and consultative support. They are responsible for providing embedded medical providers with evidence-based practices and real-time data analytics dashboards for musculoskeletal and mental health risks at the squadron level. Additionally, the FESO branch manages an embedded Integrated Operational Support (IOS) training course. The team performs data audits, research, and evaluation of programming effectiveness, and tracks programmatic measures of success. This role requires analyst research support within the FESO branch to assist with studies and analysis.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, or operations research.
  • Current Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training.
  • Advanced analytical skills in statistics and study design and execution.
  • Expertise in descriptive statistics.
  • Expertise in Statistical Analysis System/Enterprise Guide (SAS/EG).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with statistics in a healthcare or military environment.
  • Signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within a health analytics related field.
  • Experience working with Department of the Air Force (DAF) related data.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise to USAFSAM Department of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM/FE), Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Division (FES), Operational Support Team (FESO).
  • Support embedded medical providers with evidence-based practices and real-time data analytics dashboard of musculoskeletal and mental health risk down to the squadron level.
  • Direct all aspects of an embedded Integrated Operational Support (IOS) training course held at USAFSAM.
  • Conduct data audits, research and evaluation of programming effectiveness, and tracking of programmatic measures of success.
  • Assist with overall studies and analysis requirements.
