About The Position

The Junior Analyst, AI Solutions (Learning & Development) at StepStone in La Jolla will accelerate firm-wide adoption of AI tools by designing training content, leading enablement sessions, and serving as a hands-on resource for colleagues across the firm. This role requires a technical understanding of AI, but relies on low/no-code solutions for non-technical users to benefit from. Therefore, a coding background is not required but is preferred. Roles are organized around three broad “buckets”: Learning & Enablement, Research & Development, and Product, Automation & Engineering. These buckets describe each role’s center of gravity, not strict boundaries. Team members will often contribute across multiple areas based on project needs, individual strengths, and team priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in a client-facing, training, consulting, or analyst role (internships count)
  • Demonstrated hands-on use of generative AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) in a work or academic setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Working fluency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel) and generative AI assistants
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering frameworks and basic workflow automation tools
  • Comfort with public speaking, live demos, and facilitating Q&A in a large group setting
  • Strong instructional design instincts — able to convert a tool feature into a one-pager, exercise, or short video
  • Highly organized; able to maintain a content library, track session metrics, and iterate based on feedback

Nice To Haves

  • Build and showcase practical AI workflows using generative AI assistants, agent platforms, and workflow automation tools, translating real business pain points into reusable patterns
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group coaching to colleagues seeking help with prompting, agent design, or workflow setup
  • Partner across the firm to design tiered training content (foundational, intermediate, advanced) and align use cases to business needs
  • Track, communicate, and demonstrate new AI tool releases and capabilities, helping the firm understand when and how to apply each
  • Capture, archive, and distribute recordings and materials from AI sessions so content remains accessible firm-wide over time
