About The Position

Procurify is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn, comfortable working with financial systems, and enthusiastic about contributing to a streamlined, accurate, and customer-focused billing and receivables function. As a Junior Accountant, you will support key accounting activities—including invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, reconciliations, and month-end close—while working collaboratively across teams. You’re someone who enjoys improving processes, leveraging technology to work smarter, and building strong internal and external relationships. This role will also play a part in how we continue to evolve as an AI-enhanced platform — whether through improving how work gets done, contributing to AI-enabled product experiences, or helping teams and customers operate more effectively using data and automation.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar Finance role, preferably in SaaS
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Curiosity and initiative—you enjoy learning how systems work and finding better, faster ways to do things.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and a willingness to learn accounting and CRM systems (e.g., Sage Intact, Salesforce).
  • A proactive and accountable mindset—you take ownership of your work and follow through reliably.
  • Openness to learning new technologies, including automation and AI tools (Claude, Gemini), to enhance financial workflows.
  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • An interest in growing your career within a collaborative, fast-paced finance team.
  • Maintains a professional and current LinkedIn profile, ensuring it is updated upon joining Procurify to reflect their new role and maintain a consistent company presence.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and company policies.
  • Review billing details, customer information, and contract data to ensure completeness and correctness.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer account records across financial and billing systems.
  • Perform timely and professional follow-ups on outstanding receivables to support cash flow and reduce aging balances.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer billing inquiries, providing clear and courteous support.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues.
  • Provide backup support of vendor invoice or payment inquiries as needed.
  • Assist in preparing AR aging analyses, cash collection reports, and other financial reporting for management.
  • Support month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, revenue checks, and variance analyses.
  • Provide backup and cross-functional support for AP, including invoice processing, vendor inquiries, and payment runs as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance data accuracy.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of tools and automation to improve efficiency within the Finance team.
  • Use Procurify’s platform in day-to-day workflows and share feedback to help identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
