As a Junior Staff Accountant, you’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations that help keep the business running smoothly. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and excited to build both technical accounting knowledge and business acumen in a collaborative environment. Working closely with the Accounting and Finance teams, you’ll support key processes including promotional spend reporting, broker commissions, fixed assets, reconciliations, and month-end close activities—while developing a deeper understanding of how accounting supports business decision-making. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience
  • Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to work standard business hours, with flexibility during month-end, year-end, or audit cycles as needed

  • Internships or co-op experience preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities including billing, credits, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Contribute to smooth month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and timely.
  • Support promotional spend reporting by performing account reconciliations and reviewing rebates and billbacks.
  • Ensure accurate and timely calculation and payment of broker commissions.
  • Assist with fixed asset accounting, including project coding, asset tracking, capitalization, and depreciation.
  • Support audit preparation and compliance-related activities by preparing supporting documentation and responding to requests.
  • Communicate proactively and maintain alignment across Accounting and Finance teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen accuracy, and support smoother workflows.
