About The Position

The Judicial Support is a non-civil service position located within Juvenile Court and serves as a dedicated judicial support assistant to the Davidson County Juvenile Court Judge. The incumbent will focus primarily on high-level support, schedule management, and daily operational logistics. This position ensures that the Judge’s daily schedule and chamber matters run smoothly, alongside handling specific legal tasks and court filings as needed. Davidson County Juvenile Court’s mission is to prevent problems, promote the positive potential in all people, and pursue fairness and hope.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year experience in clerical, office administration, or executive support roles.
  • Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.
  • All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex professional calendars, scheduling appointments, engagements, and meetings.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, event logistics, and travel itineraries for the Judge.
  • Handle correspondence, manage incoming calls, and screen requests to serve as an effective gatekeeper.
  • Manage administrative tasks and special projects to optimize the Judge’s schedule and daily workflow.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality and handle sensitive and professional information with utmost discretion.
  • Oversee routine office management, order chamber supplies, and maintain general administrative files.
  • Serve as a courteous primary contact for visitors, judicial staff, and external contacts reaching the Judge’s office.
  • Assist with basic administrative paperwork, filing, and routine tracking using word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Deliver messages, correspondence, and materials between judicial offices as needed.
