The Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation is taking applications for a full-time Chief Information Officer. The person in this position will work under general direction of the State Court Administrator, and in consultation with the Nebraska Supreme Court and the State Probation Administrator, performing oversight for developing long-range plans and programs related to overall policy directions and organizational goals and will oversee the development, integration, and maintenance of the Judicial Branch’s statewide complex information technology systems. Responsible for overall vision, goals, and objectives for information technology and network systems for the Judicial Branch. Develop high level processes and data models to support Judicial Branch’s information technology needs and determine the impact of information technology decisions on the organizational structure and delivery of services. Must ensure a coordinated, efficient, and cost-effective approach is taken on Judicial Branch wide deployment of technology, through meetings with the Nebraska Supreme Court, Court Administrator, Probation Administrator, other key Judicial Branch personnel and stakeholders. Work is performed with considerable latitude for the exercise of independent judgment to ensure all within the Judicial Branch are able to focus on core duties rather than technology deployment. Must have the ability and availability to perform work related travel for up to 25% of the time.
