About The Position

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for designing, leading, and continuously improving Technology & Data across Ride Connection and its affiliated entities (including Wapato and the Evergreen Ambulance.) The CIO provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership for: 1. Enterprise technology strategy and digital transformation 2. Infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user computing 3. Business systems and integrations (including Operations, NEMT and Mobility platforms) 4. Data architecture, analytics, and reporting 5. Technology-related training, adoption, and change management This role ensures that technology improves the customer experience, helps to grow the mission and improves operational efficiencies, while building technology expertise in the workforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in information technology, information systems, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with responsibility for information technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital transformation and/or implementing large-scale technology initiatives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Direct experience leading or working closely with teams of diverse individuals in: Infrastructure and operations Business systems and integrations Data and analytics Training and change management
  • Strategic thinker able to translate mission and strategy into practical technology roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of: Enterprise architecture and system integration concepts Data governance, analytics, and reporting best practices Cybersecurity, privacy, and risk management fundamentals
  • Demonstrated ability to: Lead and develop diverse technical and non-technical teams Communicate complex technical ideas in clear, accessible language Build relationships and trust with staff at all levels, from front-line to board Manage competing priorities and guide organizations through change
  • Familiarity with technologies commonly used in: NEMT/transit scheduling and mobility management CRM/donor management Microsoft 365, Azure/other cloud platforms, and identity management

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in software or an engineering-related field preferred.
  • Experience in nonprofit, public sector, healthcare, human services, or transit/mobility strongly preferred.
