LMR Technical Group (LMR) is seeking a JTAC Simulator Operator to join our team at Cannon AFB, NM. This is a mission-facing operations and training role, not a generic IT support position. The Simulator Operator is responsible for operating, supporting, and sustaining JTAC simulation capabilities that directly enable AFSOC training and readiness. The role requires the ability to operate all aspects of JTAC simulator systems, support instruction across the training continuum, develop and maintain squadron CAS simulator scenarios, support LVC and DMO events, and conduct basic troubleshooting and maintenance. The position combines technical simulator proficiency with a working understanding of JTAC operations and training outcomes, aiming to enable IQT, MQT, CT, and upgrade training while ensuring simulators remain functional and aligned with unit needs. Responsibilities include minor software updates, loading databases, creating scenarios, replacing line replaceable units, running scripts, documenting issues, and reporting deficiencies. The role also supports broader JTAC duties, may participate in functional meetings and working groups, and requires the ability to transition quickly into a controlled military environment with a strong focus on security, accountability, and mission effect. The successful candidate must complete IAT Level I certification, attain simulator proficiency, and adhere to JTAC-Instructor requalification timelines.
