JTAC Resource Manager/Scheduler

LMR Technical Group
Onsite

About The Position

The Resource Manager / Scheduler is responsible for planning, synchronizing, and managing the range, aircraft, airspace, and scheduling activities required to execute AFSOC JTAC training events. This position is central to training throughput and mission continuity. It is not a passive administrative scheduler role. It is an operations-facing coordination role that directly affects whether CAS events occur safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Government requirements. This individual will schedule Close Air Support on behalf of the Special Operations Tactical Air Controller Course and AFSOC Headquarters in accordance with direction from the AFSOC JTAC Program Manager, the SOTACC Program Training Manager, and the SOTACC Superintendent. The role includes scheduling contract and military air support, integrating aircraft and range access, coordinating with the Avon Park Bombing Range, attending required range scheduling meetings, building airflow schedules, and ensuring that range operations are integrated in a way that allows the Government to complete all required training events. The position also carries operational safety responsibility through Range Safety Officer functions and requires direct engagement with range users, training staff, and mission planners. The successful candidate must be capable of managing competing mission requirements, coordinating across military stakeholders, and maintaining a disciplined operational rhythm. The Resource Manager / Scheduler will also be expected to support JTAC-Instructor duties as required by the PWS, ensure facilities and equipment are returned in proper condition after use, maintain required certifications, and operate effectively in environments where schedules change quickly and mission demands drive the workday.
