About The Position

We are seeking JRSS NOC Technicians to support 24/7 network operations at Scott AFB, IL. This role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, failover support, incident documentation, and service restoration across MPLS and JRSS infrastructure. Ideal candidates have an active Secret clearance, Security+ CE, and experience with routers, switches, routing protocols, Cisco, Juniper, alarm surveillance, and fault management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years of relevant experience in a NOC, network operations, cyber transport, tech control, or related environment
  • Ability to support a 24/7 operations schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
  • Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management, or change management
  • Experience with one or more of the following: routers, switches, routing protocols, Cisco, Juniper, or MPLS
  • General understanding of network topologies
  • Ability to document technical issues clearly in incident management systems
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with customers, engineers, vendors, and other NOC teams
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Security+ CE

Responsibilities

  • Execute network operations across MPLS and JRSS infrastructure
  • Monitor and analyze customer traffic across mission-critical network environments
  • Perform real-time customer failover during scheduled maintenance, unscheduled outages, and service degradations
  • Work directly with supported customers, engineers, vendors, and other NOC teams to maintain maximum network availability
  • Proactively monitor network alarms using platform-specific network management tools
  • Perform fault isolation, incident assessment, and network troubleshooting
  • Support change management activities, including hardware replacement, software configuration, and ASI management
  • Use incident management applications to document outages, degradations, isolation steps, escalations, and resolutions
  • Recommend resolutions for network incidents, deficiencies, and service-impacting events
  • Support troubleshooting across routers, switches, routing protocols, MPLS, VPNs, IDS/IPS, proxies, packet capture, network taps, load balancing, firewalls, and out-of-band management systems
  • Assist with process improvement, team training, and operational documentation
