About The Position
Manteca Unified School District is hiring a JROTC Instructor / Officer (AI - Army Instructor) at Lathrop High School. The district partners with families and the community to provide a meaningful, measurable, student-centered program aligned to grade-level standards, prioritizing safety and supporting emerging students. Its diverse community includes Stockton, Lathrop, Manteca, and French Camp. The district serves 25,000 students with more than 3,000 staff across over 30 traditional and alternative schools in rural and urban areas of southern San Joaquin County. Applicants must meet one of the stated eligible military-service criteria and submit the specified materials through their online Edjoin application. Documentation mailed to the district will not be considered in the online screening process.
Requirements
- Meet one of the eligible military-service criteria: be a Noncommissioned Officer (E-6 to E-7) separated or retired within the past five years with at least eight years of cumulative honorable service; or be an actively serving Army National Guard / U.S. Army Reserve Troop Program Unit member separated or retired within the past five years with at least eight years of cumulative honorable service, and provide a recommendation letter from the current Commander and a current DA Form 5016 or NGB 23A.

- Attach a copy of a valid Designated Subject ROTC Credential or an approving letter from the U.S. Army.
- Attach two letters of recommendation from the most recent employer(s).
