About The Position

The Jr. Underwriter Assistant provides support to an Underwriter by reviewing applications, evaluating risk, creating quotes, and processing new and renewal business. This position is an excellent stepping stone into a career in Underwriting, offering exposure to risk analysis, relationship building, and direct learning from an experienced Underwriter. No prior insurance experience is necessary, as Bass Underwriters will provide the necessary tools and mentorship for success.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree – (Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management & Insurance or other related major or experience preferred)
• Strong customer orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
• Must be able to prioritize and be responsive to complex issues
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate various websites and databases
• Highly motivated with a positive outgoing personality
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit
• Have a service mentality
• Be comfortable in a fast paced environment
