Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
Previous experience working with upper school students with special needs.
Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and effective instructional strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of Parkhurst Academy.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction and support to students in a variety of subjects.
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success.
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth and development.
Incorporate Christian principles and values into daily lessons and interactions.
Participate in professional development and school community activities.
