About The Position

Glint Tech Solutions is hiring a Jr. Software Engineer (Java / Python) to support a leading federal defense contractor. This role involves developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems in a highly secure and scalable environment.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen (government requirement)
• Willingness to obtain DoD Secret / Top Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM field with 2+ years of experience (or Master's with 6+ months experience)
• Experience working in Agile/Scaled Agile environments
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python
• Experience with API design, development, and testing
• Understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and automation
• Experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, PKI, encryption, and compliance
• Experience with vulnerability management, SIEM (Splunk), and monitoring tools

Nice To Haves

• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect preferred)
• Experience with defense or government projects
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Azure is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy software applications using Java and Python
• Perform infrastructure requirements analysis and contribute to system design
• Maintain hardware, software, and related project components
• Enhance existing applications and build new software solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across development, operations, and security
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge sharing artifacts
