About The Position

BIG Los Angeles is seeking a Junior Project Manager / Project Coordinator with 3+ years of experience to join our studio in Santa Monica. This role will support the Senior Project Manager and leadership team on new and ongoing projects. The Jr Project Manager will help oversee a project’s health and progress, draft fee proposals, and coordinate consultants, clients, and internal architectural teams in a supporting role.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Los Angeles legislation and building code
  • Minimum 3 years of post-bachelor's degree experience
  • Knowledge of products, materials, and construction methods in California
  • Experience interacting with clients and organizing projects
  • Exceptional level of attention to detail and a mastery of organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to be openminded, take in different ideas and encourage teamwork
  • Desire to constantly self-educate and be hands-on
  • Ability to bring creative solutions to our design work
  • Strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Architectural licensure in California is a huge plus
  • Experience in design and project delivery is a huge plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Project Manager
  • Help maintain communication with clients and consultants
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal team members in drafting fee proposals, NDAs, meeting agendas, summaries, administrative tasks and other resources.
  • Support with research
  • Help monitor project budget, staffing, and scheduling
  • Communicate and coordinate with external and internal team members
  • Experience working with a project team and consultants in schematic design through construction administration
