The Junior Photographer produces high-quality images of fine and rare wines and spirits for Acker’s auctions and retail inventory. Based in Acker’s temperature-controlled wine warehouse in Newark, Delaware, the role focuses on high-volume product photography for auction catalogs, the website, and marketing, working closely with the sales team. It offers a detail-oriented photographer an opportunity to develop their craft while gaining hands-on exposure to sought-after bottles. The photographer captures bottle details used by collectors and specialists, stages and photographs products according to direction from auction and fine wine specialists, and maintains consistent lighting, color balance, and exposure. The position also includes editing and organizing images, matching files to the correct lot and inventory records, coordinating with warehouse and auction teams to meet catalog schedules, and handling rare and high-value bottles carefully. Acker, established in 1820, describes itself as America’s oldest wine merchant and the world’s leading fine wine auction house. It operates internationally and provides auction, retail, cellar management, appraisal, investment advisory, event, tasting, excursion, and wine club services.
