About The Position

BrokerLink is seeking an IT Technical Advisor I to join their growing team. This role involves supporting day-to-day network operations across LAN, WAN, wireless, and firewall environments under the guidance of senior Network Analysts. The position requires performing basic network troubleshooting and incident support, assisting with routine network tasks, monitoring network alerts, and supporting branch connectivity. The ideal candidate will follow existing network documentation, adhere to security and compliance standards, and develop their technical capabilities within enterprise networking environments.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
• Basic awareness of LAN switching, WAN concepts, wireless networking, and firewall/security principles
• Willingness to learn enterprise networking environments and work under structured guidance
• Education in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or a related field, or equivalent entry‑level experience (internship, co‑op, lab work)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures and standards
• Clear, professional communication skills and ability to provide status updates
• Team‑oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability and integrity
• Comfort adapting to new tools, processes, and ways of working

Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day network operations across LAN, WAN, wireless, and firewall environments under guidance from senior Network Analysts
• Perform basic network troubleshooting and incident support using established tools, procedures, and escalation paths
• Assist with routine network tasks such as switch port changes, wireless troubleshooting, and basic firewall rule reviews
• Monitor network alerts and health dashboards, escalating issues as required
• Support branch connectivity activities, including learning ISP circuit tracking, outages, and redundancy concepts
• Follow existing network documentation, diagrams, standards, and change management processes
• Learn and adhere to security, operational, and compliance standards while developing technical capability
