About The Position

Matrix Systems and Technology, Inc. (MSTi) seeks a Junior Java Full Stack Software Engineer with fewer than four years of relevant experience to contribute to application development and support while working with experienced team members. The role involves developing and maintaining Java application features, assisting with web interfaces, backend services and API integration, testing and defect resolution, supporting database access, participating in code reviews, and maintaining technical documentation. Development activities may involve AWS, MongoDB and Amazon Aurora/RDS.

A current Public Trust Clearance is required. IRS experience with a current MBI clearance is preferred. Compensation is $70,000 to $95,000 per year.

MSTi provides IT and engineering services to federal, state, local government and commercial clients. Its services include software testing and quality assurance, project management, requirements analysis, implementation support and IT staff augmentation.

Requirements

• Fewer than four years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Hands-on Java full stack experience through employment, internships or substantial projects.
• Familiarity with front-end web technologies, backend services and APIs.
• Exposure to AWS, MongoDB and Amazon Aurora/RDS.
• Ability to explain technical work, learn from feedback and collaborate with a team.
• Current Public Trust Clearance.

Nice To Haves

• IRS experience with a current MBI clearance.
