Jr. Golden State Basketball League Volunteer
About The Position
The City of Dublin is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support the Jr. Golden State Basketball League. Volunteers are needed for roles such as coaches, scorekeepers, and referees. The primary goal is to help coach and teach fundamental basketball skills, along with important life traits like teamwork, responsibility, good sportsmanship, and hard work. No prior coaching experience is necessary, only enthusiasm and a commitment to creating a positive season for young athletes. The commitment for coaches includes 10 weekday practices and 8 Saturday game days, while scorekeepers and referees are needed for 8 Saturday game days. The minimum age for volunteers is 14+. Fingerprinting is required for volunteers aged 18 and older.

Responsibilities
- Coach youth basketball teams, teaching fundamental skills and traits like teamwork, responsibility, good sportsmanship, and hard work.
- Serve as a scorekeeper during game days.
- Officiate games as a referee.
- Ensure a positive experience for young athletes throughout the season.
