About The Position

The City of Iqaluit is looking for a Jr GIS / Planning Technician to join our team! The Junior GIS/Planning Technician is responsible for supporting the design, management, analysis, and functionality of spatial and relational data related to municipal land, community planning, and civil works. Additionally, they will assist Senior Community Planners in various planning tasks, including community engagement, strategic planning, development facilitation, and compliance review.

Requirements

• Possess a 2-year diploma in Environmental Technology, Public Policy, Geographic Information Systems, or equivalent
• A Class 5 Driver’s License
• A Criminal Record Check is Required for this position
• All relevant certifications are required at time of application.
