Join us to drive meaningful change and advance government missions. We are seeking a motivated Jr. DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a technical background with a strong interest in containerization technologies and a foundational understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS. We are looking for a hands-on professional who is passionate about automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of DevOps related experience (e.g.: containerization, CI/CD pipelines, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience can substitute for a bachelor’s degree
  • Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, or similar container and orchestration technologies
  • Strong expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development process
  • Develop and manage containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on VMWare or AWS infrastructure
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system operations
  • Ensure security best practices are implemented across all stages of the development lifecycle
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, configurations, and architecture
