About The Position

We are seeking a Jr Data Scientist to join our team. This role will focus on building and training machine learning models using healthcare data. You will work closely with senior team members to preprocess data, engineer features, evaluate models, and implement scalable ML solutions. The position requires a strong understanding of Python, ML libraries, SQL, and a willingness to learn about healthcare data standards. This is a remote position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or analytics
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, or TensorFlow.
• Good understanding of SQL and data querying.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and tools like Databricks or Jupyter Notebooks.
• Strong analytical thinking and eagerness to learn healthcare data and standards.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and payer systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and training machine learning models using structured and unstructured healthcare data.
• Support data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation tasks.
• Collaborate with senior ML engineers, data scientists, and data engineers to implement scalable ML solutions.
• Help monitor model performance and assist in retraining and tuning.
• Document model workflows, assumptions, and results.
• Contribute to the development of reusable ML components and pipelines.
