About The Position

Synechron is seeking recently graduated students for the Synechron Employee Enablement and Development (SEED) program. This program focuses on professional development within the financial domain, allowing participants to gain industry-specific experience by working closely with experienced consultants on various projects. SEED candidates will also be expected to obtain certifications and continuously learn new skills and tools. Upon completion of the program, participants will be matched with a client and begin working as full-time consultants. The program is open to candidates who can start full-time work in September and are local to Montreal. Candidates must be bilingual in French and English.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Located in Montreal.
  • Masters (preferred) or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 6 months to 2 years of professional experience. Candidates with 3+ years experience will not be considered.
  • Experience developing applications in Java is required.
  • Experience working with version control like Git, Github, GitLab, etc.
  • Experience working in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with Frontend languages like React, Angular or Vue.
  • Experience with Databases, SQL or NoSQL.
  • Experience with Spring.
  • Experience with API Development.
  • Experience in Visual Studio, Web Technologies, Microsoft Technologies, Windows internals.
  • Knowledge of one or more Investment Banking domains (e.g. Transaction Processing, Settlements, Books & Records, Corporate Actions, Tax, Regulatory Reporting, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and clients to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Participate actively in training sessions, workshops, and certification courses to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach toward learning industry best practices, tools, and regulations relevant to the financial domain.
