About The Position

Leidos’ Defense Uncrewed Systems Integration and Test is seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Configuration Manager to join the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Joint Technology Center – Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) Technology and Certification Center. This position collaborates with subject matter experts for product design changes, ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and controls access to mission critical software releases.

Requirements

  • BS degree in computer science or related technical degree plus 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or MS degree in computer science or related technical degree plus 1-2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and documentation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Must be a U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Clearance are required.
  • Must reside in the Huntsville, AL area or willing to locate to the Huntsville, AL area.
  • Must be able to work 100% On-site

  • 3+ years of experience in configuration management

Responsibilities

  • Provide software backup and version control services for multiple projects at a time. This includes both internally created software as well as management of 3rd party provided software.
  • Perform duties as account manager and repository custodian while supporting tools within the AvMC instance of the Atlassian Tool Suite (Gitlab, Jira, Confluence) for all associated projects.
  • Manage inventory of various hardware including ASTS tagged government equipment and general use equipment (headsets, keyboards, etc.)
  • Generate Purchase Orders for hardware, software, and incoming/outgoing shipments across several projects
  • Provide license management services for several projects including account creation, software downloads, and prevention of license expiration
  • Documentation control and editing for multiple Army standards, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the integrity of software and hardware baselines.
