About The Position

The Jr. Commercial Quality Control & AI Automation Associate is an entry-level member of the Commercial Quality Control (CQC) team, executing first-line quality control reviews across Commercial Lending credit and operations programs while building hands-on skill with the team's AI-assisted and automated review tooling. This role is a development seat within CQC's broader AI automation track. Alongside standard review execution, the associate supports the VP Commercial Quality Control and CQC leadership in testing, documenting, and maintaining automated and AI-assisted review workflows built in approved tooling (Claude, Claude Skills, Claude Code, and n8n), growing into greater automation ownership as skills develop.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required with 0-2+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, audit, operations, business analysis, or a related analytical field; internships, co-ops, and relevant academic projects considered
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to apply structured review criteria consistently
• Proficient written communication, documentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Comfortable learning and using AI tools, including basic prompt development and GenAI technologies
• Exposure to technical disciplines such as computer science, information systems, data analytics, finance, or business technology
• Familiarity with scripting, programming, or low-code/no-code automation tools such as Python, SQL, VBA, Power Automate, or similar platforms

• Exposure to commercial lending, banking operations, or other regulated financial services environments preferred

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned first-line QC reviews against established program checklists and criteria, recording outcomes and observations in the applicable system of record
• Support business process analysis on assigned commercial lending review programs, documenting current-state steps, inputs, and decision points to inform automation and AI-augmentation design
• Assist in building, testing, and validating automated and AI-assisted review workflows using approved tooling (Claude, Claude Skills, Claude Code, n8n) under the direction of senior CQC associates
• Help translate manual review checklists and program criteria into structured, reproducible review logic, preserving the observation criteria defined at the program level
• Validate automated and AI-assisted workflows against representative sample cases before they go live, and document validation results
• Maintain accurate technical and process documentation for the reviews, checklists, and automations the team operates
• Flag quality issues, exceptions, or process gaps identified during review execution to the appropriate senior associate or team lead
• Support findings and issue-tracking administration as assigned
• Complete required training curricula for assigned CQC review programs and actively build proficiency with the team's AI and automation tooling
• Take on ad hoc administrative and project support tasks for the CQC team as assigned
