About The Position
FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. They provide customers with leading-edge support from prototype to production. This role is responsible for procuring products, materials, services, supplies, commodities, tooling, or sub-tier manufactured parts relevant to FMI business. The buyer will work closely with technical staff and program management to make procurement decisions, explore cost reduction and delivery improvement opportunities, and participate in purchasing-related projects.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience
Nice To Haves
- Previous ERP System experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain follow-up responsibility to ensure commitment dates are held for open orders.
- Work with Receiving, Quality, Engineering and Accounting to resolve discrepancies and issues.
- Prepare and deliver to supplier Purchase Orders based on buy signals such as Purchase Requisitions, Min/Max inventory, etc.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records, confirm commitments to areas supported, notify areas supported of change of status in a timely matter.
- Work with receiving, quality, Engineering an Accounting to resolve discrepancies and issues.
