About The Position

The Junior Business Analyst will support business process discovery, stakeholder engagement, process mapping, requirements gathering, and documentation efforts across multiple Agile workstreams. The role will assist senior analysts in developing current-state and future-state process documentation and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen due to nature of client engagements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Operations, or related field.
  • Two (2+) plus years of business analysis or process improvement experience.
  • Knowledge of requirements elicitation techniques.
  • Familiarity with BPMN, UML, swim-lanes, and journey mapping.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Work from client office in Washington, DC and Guidehouse office in Tyson's Corner, VA.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal agencies or financial regulators.
  • Exposure to Agile project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting data-intensive or analytical organizations.
  • Interest in process improvement and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshop support activities.
  • Develop and maintain As-Is and To-Be process documentation.
  • Create process maps, swim lanes, journey maps, and workflow diagrams.
  • Capture requirements, business rules, and operational procedures.
  • Document roles, responsibilities, dependencies, and pain points.
  • Support business process analysis and recommendation development.
  • Maintain project repositories and process documentation.
  • Assist with sprint planning and backlog development activities.
  • Support executive briefing development and meeting preparation.
