About The Position

The Junior Biomedical Internship program offers two tracks: a biomedical research track and an entrepreneurship track focused on biomedical innovation. In the biomedical research track, students will participate in team-focused research projects in areas like tissue engineering, biomaterials, or biosensors, and contribute to developing cutting-edge technology. The entrepreneurship track focuses on learning about developing logical and analytical thinking skills, problem-solving, research, data analysis, understanding TIBI's technology platforms, impact assessments, marketing research, and business strategies.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident
  • Must be available to participate in a 10-week program at minimum
  • Undergraduates enrolled in four-year colleges and universities in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and other U.S. Territories
  • Completion of at least two years of undergraduate study prior to the program start
  • Intention to pursue a Ph.D. or a joint M.D./Ph.D. in a bioscience field
  • Not admitted to or enrolled in a graduate program (M.S. or Ph.D.) at the time the program begins
