About The Position

CCM’s Consolidated Intermodal Technologies Group (CIT) is seeking a Junior Application Developer to play an integral role in designing and developing applications for internal and external customers. This is an excellent opportunity to sharpen and expand your skillset in a collaborative and innovative work environment where we transform transportation technology. You will gain experience with API integrations, automation software, business intelligence reporting, and web and mobile development. The Jr. Application Developer will work under the guidance of Sr. Application Developers and the Manager of Application Development. Successful candidates must have at least 3 years of development experience, including some experience with SQL.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3 years of experience in application development.
• Strong experience with SQL (T-SQL preferred).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, and Python.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React).
• Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with web and mobile app development.
• Exposure to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools (Automation Anywhere preferred).
• Exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) tools (Qlik preferred).
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Azure Boards, Microsoft Planner).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Transportation industry or supply chain background.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines, API integrations, automations, business intelligence reports, and web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with business analysts, operations teams, and senior developers to gather requirements and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
• Monitor and optimize existing systems for improved functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues across development and production environments.
• Document technical specifications, workflows, and system architecture.
