The Jr. ACAS Engineer supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will be knowledgeable in cybersecurity standards including NERC, CIP, and FISMA, ensuring that cybersecurity infrastructure meets these established standards and overseeing initiatives to maintain compliance and correct any issues that could lead to non-compliance. They will be directly involved with policy decisions affecting the cybersecurity framework, clearly communicating specific cybersecurity concerns and providing solutions for effective measures against possible compromise as part of the organization's cybersecurity strategic plan. This role is responsible for the overall maintenance of information technology security systems and protocols, designing and implementing security measures for hardware, software, and network platforms to protect against cyber-attacks and harmful intrusions. The engineer will prepare and present reports to senior management and other stakeholders, act as an effective communicator for training and information dissemination on security measures, assess existing cybersecurity systems and protocols, and design/implement upgrades and new procedures. Continuous risk assessments of existing network hardware and information delivery systems are required to prevent and mitigate risk.
