About The Position

NACG is looking for a Journeyman (Journeyperson) Electrician to work on a remote mining site in the Fort McMurray area. The role requires a strong focus on safety and organization. NACG offers a combined gross rate of up to $68.35/hour and opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • Alberta or Interprovincial (Red Seal) Journeyperson Electrician
  • Previous mining experience.
  • Experience on Komatsu 830 / 930 or other electric haul trucks and shovels is required.
  • Must be highly motivated, organized and value safety above all.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to provide a recent Driver’s Abstract
  • Valid CSO or BSO (Energy Safety Canada)
  • Silica Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
  • Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
  • OHS Alberta Legislation Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
  • H2S Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
  • Field Ergonomics (Energy Safety Canada)

Responsibilities

  • Electrical troubleshooting and repairs on electric haul trucks and other mining equipment out in the field.
  • Repairs and maintenance of all equipment and support infrastructure.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and monitor equipment.
