About The Position

This role is for an experienced Electrical Power-Line Installer and Repairer to support the safe generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical power across the Kennecott Copper operation. Requirements

Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Valid Journeyperson Lineman Certificate with hands-on experience in high-voltage electrical systems
Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial, utility, or mining electrical environments
Proven ability to work safely with high-voltage systems (up to 25kV or higher)
Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Currently authorized to work for any employer in the United States

Responsibilities

Installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground high-voltage power lines and related equipment
Performing high-voltage switching and energized work in accordance with Minimum Approach Distance (MAD) requirements
Supervising and supporting line workers performing energized and de-energized work
Conducting inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure, including substations
Responding to emergency outages and participating in on-call rotations
Following all Rio Tinto Kennecott safety standards and procedures, including lockout/tagout, arc flash, and MSHA requirements
