Benchmark Builders is accepting applications from Journeyperson Carpenters and Apprentices for work on commercial projects in Edmonton, AB.
Requirements
- Must have availability to work weekends, nights, and out of town as needed.
- Knowledge of commercial construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, and safety.
- Proficient at the following tasks: wood backing, framing, hang doors, drill and set door hardware, set windows, layout for stairs and common rafters, read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills.
- Own transportation, valid driver’s license with satisfactory driver’s abstract.
- Ability to multi task with strong attention to detail.
- Productive in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Able to operate a skid steer and rough terrain forklift is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Learn and actively practice essential carpentry skills on the job.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Set up and maintain tools for your supervising carpenter.
