About The Position

The Journeyman Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication of piping systems and structural components for commercial and industrial mechanical projects. This role works independently or as part of a crew to ensure installations meet all codes, specifications, and company standards for safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of commercial or industrial welding experience
  • Ability to pass required weld tests (X-ray quality preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform SMAW, GTAW (TIG), and GMAW welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding procedures
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems
  • Inspect welds to ensure compliance with codes and project specifications
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper setup and operation
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety standards
  • Coordinate with pipefitters, foremen, and supervisors on jobsite activities
