About The Position
Lupient Kia of Brooklyn Park is seeking an experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician to join their busy and established service department. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on import vehicles, possesses manufacturer training and/or ASE certifications, and can independently diagnose and repair vehicles. Kia or Hyundai experience is a plus but not required. The position offers a dedicated service bay, a Monday-Friday day-shift schedule, competitive base pay with flat-rate earning potential, and consistent work in a busy shop. Requirements
- Dealership experience
- ASE certifications are a plus
- Excellent diagnostic and communication skills
- Current valid driver’s license with driving record that meets insurance company standards
- Comfortable working on import vehicles
- Manufacturer training and/or ASE certifications
- Strong import background
- Can diagnose and repair vehicles independently

- Kia or Hyundai experience
Responsibilities
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair
- Transmission and suspension repairs
- Performs preventive maintenance and repair to diesel trucks, when needed
- Diagnoses drivability concerns
- Performs exhaust or electrical repairs
