About The Position
Berman Hyundai is seeking an experienced Hyundai Journeyman Technician (Union - Local 701) to join our growing service team. If you take pride in delivering quality repairs, diagnosing complex vehicle concerns, and providing exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you! This role involves performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Hyundai vehicles according to manufacturer standards, accurately diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and drivability concerns, and completing warranty and customer-pay repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. The technician will utilize Hyundai diagnostic equipment, service information, and special tools, document repair orders thoroughly and accurately, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaboration with service advisors, parts personnel, and fellow technicians is expected, as is staying current with Hyundai training and technical service bulletins. Requirements
- ASE Certified
- Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties of an automotive technician
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Hyundai vehicles according to manufacturer standards
- Accurately diagnose electrical, mechanical, and drivability concerns
- Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
