About The Position

Provide support to production teams with molds, dies, and jigs that produce quality parts and help lead Tool Room.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• Machinist I Diploma or equivalent (able to set up and run mill, lathe, grinder, drill press, CNC setup and operate, etc.)
• Completion of the State of Tennessee Journeyman apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Design, improve, and repair molds and dies as needed to support production.
• Troubleshoot mold and die problems and implement solutions.
• Use gages, micrometers, calipers to ensure specifications are met.
• Follow verbal and written work instructions to ensure all work is performed according to specifications.
• Use visual inspections, quality instructions (and quality instruments as needed) to ensure quality parts are produced.
• Document all work properly.
• Cross-train on other positions as needed.
• Follow all safety and environmental guidelines.
• Assist in retrieving and moving dies and molds, requiring lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs.
• Work overtime as needed.
