About The Position

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Security Manager , supporting the Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Program AFLCMC/WIS Asymmetric Warfare Division. This program focuses on advancing, sustaining, and modernizing the Air Force’s small UAS portfolio to meet evolving operational needs across multiple mission sets. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive security management, analytical, technical, and support services for programs within AFLCMC/WIS. Deliver technical security expertise supporting the development, acquisition, and sustainment of aeronautical weapon systems, subsystems, and associated support systems. Support program protection activities, including technology control, safeguarding FOUO information, and ensuring compliance with DoD and Air Force security policies (e.g., DoD 5220.22‑M, NISPOM). Assist division-level security operations by preparing, coordinating, and delivering security-related briefing materials. Provide technical security support for directorate briefings, meetings, and conferences. Track and manage security program action items, suspenses, workflows, and required processes. Support the Security Education and Motivation Program for all program‑briefed personnel. Develop and deliver tailored in‑briefings for newly assigned staff and out‑briefings for departing personnel. Provide classification management guidance to AFLCMC/WI and subordinate units for assigned programs. Assist in developing security requirements and incorporating them into contractual documents. Support administrative coordination and development of DD Form 254 (DoD Contract Security Classification Specification). Maintain electronic file systems, including records management, file plans, and controlled document repositories. Prepare, review, and maintain security program documentation, reports, and briefing materials.

Requirements

  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
  • Clearance: Top Secret
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD. OR, seven years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, five of which must be in the DoD.
  • Security classification and marking knowledge, including application of DoD and AF security directives (e.g., NISPOM / DoD 5220.22‑M).
  • Development and coordination of security documentation, including DD Form 254, program protection materials, and controlled document management.
  • Experience supporting security operations such as briefing preparation, action‑item tracking, records management, and file‑plan maintenance.
  • Technical understanding of safeguarding requirements for weapon system programs, including FOUO handling, technology protection, and program‑unique security procedures.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly prepare, present, and coordinate security‑related briefings and materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail for tracking action items, maintaining records, and managing classified/FOUO documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with program offices, leadership, and multi‑disciplinary stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple security processes, suspenses, and program requirements.
