About The Position

C2O Americas is seeking experienced Journeyman Riggers for work at the GPLNG project site. Riggers are responsible for the safe lifting, movement, and positioning of heavy equipment and materials in an industrial construction environment. This role requires advanced knowledge of rigging practices, lift planning, inspection procedures, and communication with crane and equipment operators. The ideal candidate will have strong safety awareness, industrial construction experience, and the ability to work effectively in demanding outdoor conditions while maintaining compliance with all site and company safety standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of industrial rigging experience.
  • NCCER Advanced Rigging Certification or NCCCO Level I & II Certification required.
  • Must successfully complete the NCCER Rigging Assessment or be able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong understanding of rigging equipment, load capacities, and lift planning.
  • Ability to work at heights exceeding 300 feet.
  • Must possess all required rigging tools.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Thorough knowledge of rigging hardware, equipment capacities, and safe lifting procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand lift plans and load calculations.
  • Knowledge of proper hand signaling and communication with crane operators.
  • Basic understanding of heavy industrial construction processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a focus on safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of transportation and movement of heavy loads and equipment.
  • Basic arithmetic skills required for lift calculations and planning.
  • Commitment to following all safety standards, procedures, and company directives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist with lift planning activities.
  • Inspect all rigging equipment prior to use.
  • Safely attach and secure loads using slings, chains, hooks, shackles, cables, and related rigging equipment.
  • Guide and stabilize loads during lifting and positioning operations.
  • Signal crane and equipment operators using proper hand signals and communication procedures.
  • Act as a safety observer during lifting activities.
  • Tie and manage tag lines for controlled load movement.
  • Climb structures and work at elevated heights to guide and position loads.
  • Assist in connecting, stabilizing, and securing loads before release.
  • Detach rigging equipment after lift completion.
  • Place and remove outrigger pads for cranes and heavy equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
