About The Position

The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for the maintenance of all plumbing fixtures and plumbing/piping systems within the Facility. The role is responsible for performing highly responsible independent work under general supervision in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing equipment.

Requirements

Journeyman Plumber license in the state of Florida required, must have completed an appropriate formal training program AND/OR apprenticeship
Minimum 3 years of relevant plumbing experience
Exhibits strong plumbing aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Proven experience comprehending blueprints
Exhibits understanding and familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
Must be able to perform physical activities required of this position which includes, but is not limited to, climbing, lifting, balancing stooping, and handling of materials
Fluent in English (written and oral)
Must be able to perform job at various locations interior and outside work environment with varying weather conditions.
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be “on call” 24 hours a day / 7 days a week

Nice To Haves

Commercial plumbing experience preferred
Fluency in English & Spanish is preferred

Responsibilities

Locating leaks, tears, blockages, corrosion, and weather damage in water, gas, fire sprinkler and HVAC features
Fixing issues in water, gas, fire sprinkler and HVAC systems by repairing or replacing these structures, or aspects thereof.
Overseeing and managing the installation of pipes, gutters, and appropriate fixtures to ensure adequate drainage
Conducting maintenance prevention inspections to ensure that structures are in excellent working condition upon completion of each project
Partnering with fire sprinkler vendors to supervise repairs, services, certifications and inspections
Troubleshooting and forecasting issues that may arise within the infrastructure
Reviewing plans for proposed improvements/construction projects/sets and ensuring compliance with best practices and code requirements
Maintaining daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
Periodically running reports and adjusting controls to promote efficiencies according to new or existing workflows
Responding to work order requests in a timely fashion utilizing app driven scheduling system on mobile phone
Adhering to all safety policies and procedures regarding plumbing operations, repair, and maintenance
Completing any other tasks as assigned by Manager or Supervisor as needed
