About The Position

The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for the maintenance of all plumbing fixtures and plumbing/piping systems within the Facility. The role is responsible for performing highly responsible independent work under general supervision in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing equipment.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Plumber license in the state of Florida required, must have completed an appropriate formal training program AND/OR apprenticeship
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant plumbing experience
  • Exhibits strong plumbing aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven experience comprehending blueprints
  • Exhibits understanding and familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
  • Must be able to perform physical activities required of this position which includes, but is not limited to, climbing, lifting, balancing stooping, and handling of materials
  • Fluent in English (written and oral)
  • Must be able to perform job at various locations interior and outside work environment with varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial plumbing experience preferred
  • Fluency in English & Spanish is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for locating leaks, tears, blockages, corrosion, and weather damage in water, gas, fire sprinkler and HVAC features
  • Responsible for fixing issues in water, gas, fire sprinkler and HVAC systems by repairing or replacing these structures, or aspects thereof.
  • Oversees and manages the installation of pipes, gutters, and appropriate fixtures to ensure adequate drainage
  • Conducts maintenance prevention inspections to ensure that structures are in excellent working condition upon completion of each project
  • Partners with fire sprinkler vendors to supervise repairs, services, certifications and inspections
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and forecasting issues that may arise within the infrastructure
  • Reviews plans for proposed improvements/construction projects/ sets and ensures compliance with best practices and code requirements
  • Maintains daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
  • Periodically runs reports and adjust controls to promote efficiencies according to new or existing workflows
  • Responds to work order requests in a timely fashion utilizing app driven scheduling system on mobile phone
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures regarding plumbing operations, repair, and maintenance
  • Works under the direct supervision of Manager, Facilities Operations and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by Manager or Supervisor as needed
