About The Position

OCL Group Inc. (OCL) is a 100% Canadian, privately held, employee-owned general contractor providing design-build solutions across Western Canada since 2009, serving the energy and municipal infrastructure markets. This role is for a Journeyman Pipefitter to support a Midstream client in Conklin, AB, on a project estimated to be 6 weeks in duration.

Requirements

Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification
Must have valid safety tickets: H2S Alive and CSTS-2020 or WHMIS 2015.
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Must have transportation to get to/from site
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Strong communication skills
Desire to work in a team environment
Comfortable working outside in various weather conditional conditions

Nice To Haves

Previous rigging experience working in an industrial setting is an asset

Responsibilities

Perform bolting, torquing, and flange management as part of valve change-out and installation.
Join and secure pipe sections according to specifications.
Use test equipment to verify system integrity and check for leaks.
Ensure tasks are completed in full compliance with OCL’s and the client’s safety, quality, and procedural standards.
Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong safety culture.
Ensure a safe team environment.
Adhere to all company and worksite safety and quality processes and procedures.
