About The Position

We're seeking a Journeyman Network Administrator to support a mission-critical Department of Defense environment in Arlington, VA. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining secure enterprise network infrastructure supporting both classified and unclassified environments. You'll work alongside network engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and government stakeholders to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance across the enterprise. Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CCNA, Microsoft Windows Server Certification, or equivalent)
  • Experience administering enterprise Cisco network environments
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP
  • Strong understanding of VLANs
  • Strong understanding of IPv6
  • Strong understanding of Routing and switching
  • Strong understanding of Network troubleshooting
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC)
  • Experience using SolarWinds for monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting ForeScout network visibility or access control
  • Familiarity with DISA STIG implementation and cybersecurity compliance
  • Experience documenting network architectures and technical procedures
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Experience supporting DoD, Federal, or Intelligence Community networks preferred

  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Five or more years of enterprise network administration experience

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain enterprise network infrastructure supporting classified and unclassified environments
  • Troubleshoot Layer 1-3 connectivity issues including routing, VLANs, switch ports, and network performance
  • Configure, update, and maintain Cisco switches, firmware, IOS upgrades, and configuration backups
  • Monitor network health using SolarWinds and Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC)
  • Support VMware ESXi environments and Windows Server infrastructure
  • Manage ForeScout network access control and Cisco ISE authentication services
  • Troubleshoot IPv6 networking and wireless infrastructure
  • Perform DISA STIG implementation, validation, and remediation activities
  • Support vulnerability remediation efforts using ACAS findings in coordination with cybersecurity personnel
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, SOPs, and asset inventories
  • Resolve Tier III network incidents and support Help Desk escalations
  • Participate in change management activities and maintain accurate technical documentation
  • Provide occasional after-hours support within a 24x7 operational environment
