Job Summary: Performs skilled welding and fabrication of miscellaneous metal components in accordance with project drawings and specifications. Works independently or under general supervision to complete welding, cutting, and assembly tasks to required quality and safety standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
3 years of experience in welding, metal fabrication, or a related field required.
American Welding Society (AWS) Welder certification required.

Nice To Haves

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification preferred.
OSHA 10 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

Performs structural and miscellaneous metal welding and fabrication using approved methods and procedures.
Interprets blueprints and welding symbols to plan and execute assigned tasks.
Sets up, operates, and maintains welding and cutting equipment in accordance with safety requirements.
Inspects completed work for accuracy, alignment, and quality conformance.
Works collaboratively with crew leads and foremen to meet project schedules.
Maintains tools, materials, and workspace in organized, safe condition.
Supports training of apprentices and new team members through demonstration of standard techniques.
