About The Position

OCL Group Inc. is a 100% Canadian owned and operated, privately held, employee-owned general contractor with design-build solutions across Western Canada. Serving the energy and municipal infrastructure markets since 2009, OCL was founded on the principles of "People" and "Doing the Job Right". We are currently recruiting experienced Journeyman Millwrights to join our team at Kearl Oil Sands in Northern Alberta. This role operates in a safety-first environment with a 14/7 rotation, and camp accommodations, meals, and charter flights from Edmonton and Calgary are provided. The position starts in mid-June.

Requirements

Registered Journeyperson Millwright Certification
Must have valid safety tickets (:CSTS-2020, WHMIS 2015, First Aid, H2S Alive, AWP, Fall Arrest and Confined Space)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Previous experience working in an industrial setting
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Must be willing to complete a criminal background check
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Responsibilities

Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments
Perform predictive and operational procedures
Repair or replace defective parts as needed
Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Adhering to all company safety procedures and regulatory standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
