About The Position

Premier Service, a family-owned landscape construction and maintenance company serving the Chicagoland area since the late 1980s, is seeking an experienced Journeyman Diesel Mechanic to join their in-house shop. This role is responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment to ensure safe operation and minimal downtime for their crews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of mechanic experience
• Journeyman-level mechanic
• Ability to pass background and MVR checks
• No DUI or drug convictions within the last 5 years
• Must provide basic hand tools
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs

Nice To Haves

• ASE certification preferred
• CDL-A preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on trucks and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative services
• Complete repair orders and accurately document all work performed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
