About The Position

The primary role of the Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) is to keep machinery and mechanical equipment in efficient operating condition and provide direction and mentorship to an Apprentice, Millwright. The Millwright will carry out activities such as diagnosing defects, dismantling, repairing, aligning, assembling and adjusting equipment to keep machinery running and ready to work. The incumbent will fabricate and repair components using techniques such as cutting, shaping, fitting, joining and using safe welding practices as required. Successful applicant will be required to successfully complete pre-employment drug, alcohol and medical evaluation.

Requirements

• Journeyman Mechanic/Millwright certification or equivalent experience
• Ability to diagnose defects in machinery and mechanical equipment
• Proficiency in dismantling, repairing, aligning, assembling, and adjusting equipment
• Skills in fabricating and repairing components through cutting, shaping, fitting, and joining
• Knowledge of safe welding practices
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug, alcohol, and medical evaluations
