About The Position
Journeyman Marine Engineer with 3 years of experience needed to support the United States Coast Guard and their Ship Design Group in Washington, DC. This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in the office and 1 day remote.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- At least 3+ years of experience in Marine Systems engineering
- At least 1 year of experience working with Microsoft office suite
- Experience with Auto-CAD
Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Mechanical Engineers in design, development, and evaluation of the operation of marine vessels, ship machinery, and related equipment.
- Support the US Coast Guard by reviewing third party design modifications.
- Perform design reviews and evaluate constructability.
- Resolve technical issues and manage information generated through the design and construction phase.
- Conduct marine engineering analysis.
- Create graphical representations of structures and systems.
- Inspect ship equipment or systems.
- Research advanced engineering designs or applications.
- Prepare technical reports.
