About The Position

Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for the guests. This role requires a strong understanding of general maintenance, including plumbing and electrical work, and the ability to respond to guest calls and act as a member of the Emergency Response Team. The technician will maintain daily activity logs and adhere to all safety and department policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Maintenance role required.
• Must have electrical, plumbing and basic maintenance skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak English fluently.
• Adhere to Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Grooming Guidelines.
• Highly responsible & reliable.

Nice To Haves

• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications is helpful.
• Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment.
• Ensure a safe and functional environment for the guests.
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Ensure the overall maintenance of the facility.
• Respond to guest room calls for general maintenance issues.
• Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance.
• Perform light plumbing, electrical, and guest door lock repair.
• Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards.
• Maintain all actions in a Daily Activity Maintenance log.
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.
• Follow all safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
